Ranchi, Nov. 17: Assam Chief Minister and BJP election co-in-charge Himanta Biswa Sarma today made a blistering attack on Hemant Soren, saying he had promised to give a gold coin to newly-wed girls. “Where did this gold coin go? Alamgir Alam ate this gold coin,” he alleged.
Addressing an election rally in Mahagama, Sarma, referring to the Sahara, said that, whoever has lost money in Sahara, will get back every penny as soon as the BJP government is formed.
Notably, former Congress Minister Alamgir Alam has been languishing in jail for quite some time for hoarding around Rs 30 crore. His wife Nishat Alam is contesting elections from Pakur in his absence.
Biswa Sarma fiercely attacked the JMM-Congress-RJD and said that Rs 350 crores were recovered from a house. “Voting is going to be held on November 20 for the rest of 38 seats. I can say that the BJP government is going to be formed,” he maintained.
Schools should also be closed on Tuesdays
Sarma said that he was in Jamtara, Rajgohal and Pakur. “People told me that schools are closed on Fridays in Jamtara, Pakur, Sahibganj because people have to offer namaz. If schools are closed on Fridays to offer namaz, then they should also be closed on Tuesdays for Hanuman Puja,” he maintained.

He said that those who close schools on Fridays should not be voted for. “If someone wants to take out a procession on Ram Navami, they do not allow immersion of Durga Puja, they do not allow immersion in Lohardaga. But Shobha Yatra is taken out on Muharram, processions are taken out. When there is a procession of Muharram, our Hindu brothers are beaten up and the police do nothing. This happens because the Jharkhand government only loves infiltrators,” he said.
JMM-Congress-RJD is a government of infiltrators
Targeting the JMM-Congress-RJD, he said this is a government of infiltrators. “Hemant Soren is the Chief Minister of our Jharkhand. If we make rooms for offering Namaaz in the Vidhan Sabha, then don’t our Hindu brothers need a separate room to read Hanuman Chalisa?,” he asked.
He said that in Santhal Pargana, there were 23 lakh Hindus and two lakh Muslims in 1951. “Hindus were 90 per cent in 1951, but today Hindus have decreased to 67 per cent and Muslims have increased to 31 per cent,” he pointed out.
Sarma said that the entire Jharkhand, including our society and culture, is in danger. “Infiltrators come and marry tribal daughters to grab their land. Mukhiyas marry to contest elections. These people cast their votes in one place, these people know both love jihad and vote jihad. But when the Hindu society unites, then even the Babri Masjid is demolished and the Ram temple is also built,” he said.
The Assam CM said that we have to stay united. “If we stay united, we will be safe. The people of Jharkhand are going to form the BJP-NDA government,” he said.
