Ranchi, Aug. 28: BJP state president and former chief minister Babulal Marandi today said that Chief Minister Hemant Soren is completely upset sensing his crushing defeat in the upcoming assembly elections.

Marandi said that Hemant Soren has fallen so morally that to gain power, he can sacrifice anyone, be it Champai Soren, who is like his father, Lobin Hembrom, or sister-in-law Sita Soren, who is like his mother. “It seems that he is behaving like Aurangzeb,” he alleged.

‘Plan to honey trap Champai Soren’

The former chief minister said that in recent times, the special branch of the state police has secretly deployed policemen to keep a close watch on the activities of the former Chief Minister of the state and current Minister Champai Soren in the Hemant Cabinet, and his tours outside Jharkhand and the state. “News is even coming that a plan was made to trap him in a honey trap,” he alleged.

Marandi demanded that the illegal espionage and spying being done by the state government should be investigated by a sitting judge of the state. He also demanded suspension of the ADG, Special Branch.

‘Judges are also getting monitored’

“There is also a possibility that the state government is also getting the phones of many other leaders, including Champai Soren tapped,” he said and alleged that the judges of the state are also being monitored.

Describing the situation as very serious and worrying for the state, he pointed out that today criminals are happy in the state, and extortion is being demanded from jail.

“Murders, rapes, and robberies are taking place in broad daylight but the government is not controlling the criminals but is using all its power in hatching political conspiracies, extorting money, and protecting criminals and brokers,” he alleged.

He said that today the court is making serious comments and directives on the government’s police administrative system but the state government is completely immersed in its arrogance.

He said that the JMM-led government wants to win the elections by spreading terror in the state through criminals, goons and infiltrators.
