Ranchi, Sept 27: Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today announced to give women Rs 2100 every month in a bid to counter the Hemant Soren government’s Maiyaan Samman Yojana under which every woman gets Rs 1000.
Chouhan, who has been interacting with people in the tribal heartland for the last two days, said our manifesto for the Jharkhand assembly elections is yet to come. “But we will certainly follow the manifesto released for the elections in Haryana where we have pledged to deposit Rs 2100 in the accounts of sisters,” he added.
Ladli Behna Yojana
Questioning the Maiyaan Samman Yojana, Hemant Soren has copied the Ladli Behna Yojana we implemented in MP.
On Hemant Soren’s breach of promise, he said that five years ago in the manifesto, he had promised to give Rs 2000 for stove expenses. “For four years and 10 months, the stove expenses were not given, now that the elections are near, he thought that it would not be spent from the pocket, so he started putting one thousand rupees each from the treasury. First Hemant Soren should give an account that there are 60 months in 5 years and if 2000 rupees were given in 60 months, then Rs 1.20 lakh would have been in the sisters’ accounts. He ate Rs 1.18 lakh and now he is putting Rs 1000 in pieces,” he asserted.

Notably, the BJP has been upset seeing the popularity of Hemant Soren’s Maiyaan Samman Yojana. Kalpana Soren, who is leading the Maiyaan Samman Yatra across the State, has drawn a huge crowd of women to every public meeting she has addressed in the last four days.
JMM is Paper Leak Morcha
Chouhan, who has been put in charge along with Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, to ensure the BJP victory in Jharkhand, said that examination papers were cancelled 17 times due to leaks. “The JMM has become Paper Leak Morcha and not Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. In Jharkhand, brokers are playing with the dreams of the youth. As soon as the BJP government is formed in Jharkhand, 2,87,400 posts will be filled in the first cabinet,” he said.
Chouhan enjoys tribal foods in Netarhat
Notably, Chouhan stayed in the tribal areas of Netarhat till late last night. During this, he interacted with the tribal society on various topics. He met the members of primitive tribes, including Baiga, Korba, Birhor, Kisan and Cheek Baraik. During this, the Union Minister painted in tribal colours, played the drums and also danced to the tune of the traditional songs of the tribal society.
After this, he ate the traditional food of Jharkhand in Jamatoli, Netarhat. He tasted Gondli rice, corn ghatta, Bhapal salad, Futkal chutney, bamboo kareel bhujia, bar bodi dal. At the same time, the farmers of Netarhat presented traditional dances and songs performed at the time of sowing of crops and at the time of worship.
