Jamshedpur, Sept 6: The Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF) came alive on Friday evening as the 29th East Zone Sport Climbing Championship 2025 officially kicked off, setting the stage for four days of adrenaline-pumping contests, precision, and endurance.
Athletes from across the eastern region have gathered in Jamshedpur to compete in Boulder, Lead, and Speed disciplines across Sub Junior, Junior, and Senior (Men and Women) categories.
The opening day on September 5 began with athlete registrations at the TSAF entrance lobby, followed by a technical meeting, and concluded with a vibrant Opening Ceremony at 6 PM. Competitive events got underway later that evening at 7:30 PM.

From September 6 to 8, the championship will run on a packed schedule, starting as early as 7:00 AM daily. The event will feature qualification rounds, semi-finals, and finals, all conducted under strict international-standard protocols, including isolation zones with timed check-ins.
Championship Highlights
September 6: A busy start with Boulder, Lead, and Speed qualifications across multiple categories, ending with Speed finals for Junior Boys and Girls.
September 7: Key contests with Lead finals for Sub Juniors, Men, and Women in the morning, followed by Boulder and Lead finals for Juniors in the evening.
September 8: The grand finale featuring Boulder finals for Sub Juniors and Junior Boys early morning, and Speed qualification as well as finals for Senior Men and Women.

The TSAF climbing wall arena is expected to witness electrifying displays of agility, power, and mental focus as athletes vie for podium finishes. With the event serving as a crucial qualifier for national-level selections, the stakes are at an all-time high.
Spectators and climbing enthusiasts are in for a spectacle of skill and spirit, as Jamshedpur hosts one of the most prestigious events in the regional climbing calendar.
