Jamshedpur, March 16: Several isolated places across Jharkhand including southern and adjoining central parts are expected to witness thunder showers and lightning today, said a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.

Weathermen said such an alert has been issued for isolated areas for the next three days too.

Thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty wind (max wind speed: 30-40 kmph) are also likely at isolated places over the state on Monday and Tuesday.

The weatherman said there would be no significant changes in maximum temperature during the next 48 hours and after that, the day temperature would witness a slight fall.

Met statistics suggested that most places notched 35 degrees Celsius and above during the last couple of days.
