New Delhi, April 5: At the All India Congress Committee (AICC) headquarters in Delhi on Friday, the Congress party released their manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The party’s manifesto named ‘Nyay Patra’ was launched in the presence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Congressional Parliamentary Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, and other leaders.

About the manifesto Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge stated “The Committee successfully ensured public participation in this exercise, rather than merely confining it to an academic one. It held extensive consultations in different parts of the country and submitted a draft to me on March 6, 2024,”

Kharge mentioned that feedback and opinions were also sought through an online website named “Awaaz Bharat Ki.”

“Whatever has been promised in Manifesto will be strictly implemented. Before making promises in the Manifesto, in-depth deliberation has been made to ensure that these promises are implementable,” Kharge stated.

Paanch Nyay of Congress and 25 guarantees

The centrepiece of the Congress’s election campaign is ‘Paanch Nyay,’ or the five pillars of justice, which are ‘Yuva Nyay,’ ‘Naari Nyay,’ ‘Kisaan Nyay,’ ‘Shramik Nyay,’ and ‘Hissedari Nyay,’ along with the guarantees the party has made to the people falling under these categories.

The party has promised under the ‘Yuva Nyay’ initiative to provide 30 lakh government jobs and offer a stipend of one lakh rupees for one year of training programs to the youth. It also pledged to conduct a caste-based census and guarantee the elimination of the 50 percent cap on reservations under the ‘Hissedari Nyay’ initiative.

Under ‘Kisan Nyay’, Congress has promised to give legal status to the minimum support price, formation of loan waiver commission and ‘GST’ free farming.

The Congress has promised under the ‘Shramik Nyay’ initiative to provide health rights to workers, ensure a minimum wage of 400 rupees per day, and guarantee urban employment.

It has made several promises, including giving one lakh rupees per year to women from poor families under the Mahalakshmi Guarantee under ‘Naari Nyay’.
