Jamshedpur, April 7: Under the guidance of the local administration, a vibrant voter awareness campaign commenced in the evening at Ashiana Gardens, Sonari.
The event witnessed an impressive turnout, with residents from all walks of life, including many esteemed senior citizens, actively participating and displaying immense enthusiasm.
Led by Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal and a dedicated team from the local administration, the campaign saw the involvement of key officials such as Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar, District Transport Officer Dhananjay Kumar, Cooperative Officer Asha Toppo, Child Development Project Officer Durgesh Nandini, Booth Level Officer Reena Yadav and others.
DC Mittal leads voter education initiative, urges community engagement
The administration employed various methods to educate residents about the significance of their vote, including an insightful PowerPoint presentation. Members of the colony’s management team expressed their commitment to implementing these methods within the community.

In his address, Chief Guest Ananya Mittal emphasized the importance of active participation in the upcoming elections. He highlighted the significance of the voter list and urged everyone to verify their names, offering assistance through the Voter Helpline 1950.
Taking questions from the audience, the Deputy Commissioner ensured clarity on electoral procedures and encouraged attendees to pledge their commitment to vote.
Balloon message release for voter awareness
The awareness campaign took an innovative turn as Deputy Commissioner Mittal and residents released voter awareness messages tied to balloons, symbolizing the dissemination of electoral information across the skies. Additionally, thousands of lamps were lit to further underscore the message of vigilance and civic responsibility.
The initiative was spearheaded by the Ashiana Gardens Owners Association, led by President Suresh Santhalia and supported by Joint Secretary CA Ashok Kumar Bihani, Treasurer Ramakant Gupta, Assistant Secretary Anil Gogna, and Piona Ghosh, along with approximately 250 community members.
The event concluded on a note of empowerment and civic duty, with participants energized to play an active role in shaping the future through their votes.
