Jharkhand Elections: Electorates to vote at 2427 polling stations in Palamu Lok Sabha constituency

Daltonganj, April 14: There are 2427 polling stations in the Palamu Lok Sabha seat, including those in the two assembly constituencies of Garhwa. 

First, the Palamu Lok Sabha constituency has six assembly seats. Four assembly constituencies are in Palamu district, and two are in Garhwa district. 

1470 polling stations in Palamu 

There are 1470 polling stations in the four assembly constituencies of Palamu.

There are 426 polling stations in the Daltonganj assembly constituency, 367 in Bishrampur, 335 in Chhaterpur, and 342 in the Hussainabad assembly constituency.

The Panki assembly constituency has 326 polling stations, but these are excluded as they are in the Chatra Lok Sabha constituency. 

Palamu LS seat’s booths in Garhwa 

However, Palamu district’s Daltonganj assembly constituency penetrates Garhwa district’s Bhandarya, Badgad, and its Bishrampur assembly constituency enters Garhwa district’s Majhiaon, Kandee, and Bardeeha. 

Thus, Palamu’s Daltonganj assembly constituency has 55 booths in the Garhwa district.

Again, Palamu’s Bishrampur assembly constituency has 158 polling stations in the Garhwa district. 

By this account, the number of polling stations in Palamu for its Lok Sabha is 1470. When added to the number of polling stations in Garhwa district, which is 957, this number goes to 2427 polling stations in Palamu Lok Sabha constituency. 

Garhwa has two assembly constituencies: the Garhwa Assembly and the Bhavnathpur Assembly. 

According to Garhwa DC Shekhar Jamuar, there are 455 polling stations in the Garhwa assembly constituency and 502 in the Bhavnathpur constituency.

There are 1470 polling stations in Palamu’s 4 assembly constituencies, 957 polling stations in the Garhwa district, and 2427 polling stations in the Palamu Lok Sabha constituency.
