Dhanbad, May 3: Three–day annual ‘Tech Mahotsav’ organised by technical clubs of BIT Sindri began on Friday amidst much fanfare.

Career Development Centre (CDC) BIT Sindri chairman cum senior professor Dr. Ghanshyam, Prof R.K Verma, Prof B.D. Yadav, Prof Vineet Shekhar, Prof Akram, Prof S.C Dutta, Prof Imtiyaz and other senior faculty members of the institution were also present on the occasion.
While inaugurating the Mahotsav, the BIT Sindri director praised the organisers for holding a technical fest and said that this even would provide our students to show their creative skills and innovative minds. “Their creativity would help in fulfilling the Developed Bharat mission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said.

Smart City Challenge
The Smart City Challenge took centre stage as one of the kick-off events, hosted and organised by ISTE BITS, the inaugural round unfolded amidst the grandeur of Tech Mahotsav 24 at the IT Building.
Participants showcased their boundless creativity in crafting cities where sustainability seamlessly intertwines with innovation. From smart grids to AI-driven services, each idea contributed to shaping tomorrow’s urban landscape.
With a huge participation, the event witnessed a torrent of innovative and realistic ideas. The judges, Dr BD Yadav, Prof. Om Prakash, and Prof. PN Sahu meticulously scrutinized each presentation with expertise, sparking fervent discussions and setting a high standard for the transformative journey ahead.
Technical and management skills
B Tech final year student of mechanical engineering Priti Choudhary underlined the events to be held in Mahotsav during a day competition.
Final year student Uday Ganguli said that five clubs are jointly organizing this programme and the main moto of this Mahotsav is to promote the technical and management skills of BIT Sindri students.
