Amravati, June 12: N. Chandrababu Naidu, the head of TDP, took the oath of office as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for the fourth time on Wednesday. The ceremony saw the attendance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, senior BJP leaders, and Union Ministers.

Union Ministers Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, and J.P. Nadda, along with Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, former Chief Justice of India N.V. Ramana, and superstars Rajnikanth and Chiranjeevi, were present at the event.

Janasena party gets three cabinet positions, BJP one in 26 member cabinet

Janasena supremo and actor Pawan Kalyan, along with Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh, and several others, were sworn in as Ministers. The oath was administered by Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer to Naidu and the other new ministers.

In addition to Chandrababu Naidu, ministers sworn in included K Atchannaidu (TDP), Nadendla Manohar (Janasena), P Narayana (TDP), Kollu Ravindra (TDP), Nimmala Rama Naidu (TDP), and Satya Kumar Yadav (BJP).

The Janasena party has secured three cabinet positions, while the BJP has obtained one.

According to the size of the Andhra Pradesh assembly, which has 175 seats, the cabinet can comprise 26 ministers, including the Chief Minister.

In the 175-member Andhra Pradesh assembly, the TDP holds the majority with 135 MLAs. Its allies, the Janasena Party, and the BJP have 21 and eight seats respectively. Meanwhile, the opposition YSR Congress Party holds 11 seats.
