New Delhi, June 13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday with National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and other senior officials, according to Government of India sources.
PM briefed on counter-terrorism measures
The Prime Minister received a comprehensive briefing on the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
PM Modi was also briefed on the counter-terrorism measures being implemented.
At the meeting, PM Modi stressed the significance of utilizing the full range of India’s counter-terrorism capabilities.

The Prime Minister instructed officials at the meeting to utilize all of the nation’s counter-terrorism capabilities to bring back peace in the Valley.

He also had a conversation with Union Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss the deployment of security forces and counter-terror operations.
In order to assess the situation and receive an update on the initiatives being carried out by the local administration, the Prime Minister also had a conversation with Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
Three major terror incidents- the terror attacks in Reasi, Kathua, and Doda, have occurred in the Jammu and Kashmir region, contributing to the recent spike in violence.
