New Delhi, July 24: MPs from the constituent parties of the opposition bloc Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) protested in the Parliament House complex on Wednesday against the discrimination and injustice done to the states ruled by opposition parties in the Union Budget.
Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav and MPs from many other opposition parties participated in this protest.
Opposition MPs raise slogans against govt
Opposition MPs raised strong slogans against the government. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, alleged that the budget is anti-people. He said that no one has received justice. Bihar and Andhra Pradesh did not receive special state status.

When asked if the opposition parties would participate in the budget discussion, Kharge said that they would protest and then see.
At a meeting of leaders of the constituent parties of the ‘INDIA’ alliance held at Kharge’s residence on Tuesday evening, it was decided to protest against this issue both inside and outside the Parliament.
CMs of Congress-ruled states to boycott NITI Aayog meeting
Congress General Secretary K.C. Venugopal had said on Tuesday that on this issue the Chief Ministers of Congress-ruled states would boycott the NITI Aayog meeting scheduled for July 27.
He also alleged that the government’s attitude towards constitutional principles is completely unethical.
Earlier, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin had also announced the boycott of the NITI Aayog meeting.
