Ranchi, Nov 16: The BIT Sindri Alumni Association is geared up to make its alumni meet cum Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled on November 26 a memorable event this year with a series of programmes for the visiting members.

Dean of Alumni Affairs of BIT Sindri Alumni Association Prof Prakash Kumar rolling out the programme today said that more than 200 members including several general manager rank officers engaged in the country and abroad, most of them along with their families, are likely to participate in this auspicious programme.

“Of course, alumni of BIT Sindri settled in abroad, especially in the USA would attend the meet on November 26”, said Prof Prakash Kumar.

On the occasion, the alumni association will bring out a souvenir. The souvenir would also be sent to members who are unable to attend the AGM if they demand it.

The Alumni Association AGM is held every two years and a team of new office bearers is selected during the meet. The present committee under Amit Roy was formed in the 2021 AGM.

The former students (alumni) of the institution share their experiences with each other and enjoy recalling the memory lane of the institution. “They not only share academic and technical education but also discuss the welfare of BIT Sindri and announce development projects for the institution”, said Dean of Alumni Affairs Prof Prakash.

He informed that the 1994 batch alumni of BIT Sindri is constructing a canteen on the campus while earlier the 1992 batch had set up a website centre and modern lab.
