Jamshedpur, Nov 17: A 25-year-old youth was seriously injured on being fired upon by some local goons at East Plant Bustee under the Burmamines Thana area of the city on Friday afternoon.
Identified as Pravesh Kumar, the gunshot victim has been admitted to Tata Main Hospital where his condition is stated to be critical.
According to police, a youth having a criminal bent of mind identified as Sattu Gaud had shot Pravesh.
The accused has already been arrested after a section of local residents caught him soon after the gunshot attack and handed him over to the police.
According to local residents, the gunshot victim had an altercation with Sattu Gaud over an issue of riding by in East Plant Bustee where both of them reside. They maintain that the gunshot attack was the outcome of that altercation as Sattu had threatened Pravesh with dire circumstances.
According to sources, Sattu had fired as many as four rounds at Pravesh having spotted him standing near a shop in the afternoon.
