Ranchi, Nov. 21: Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) Chairman Neeraj Sinha has said that the 1026 Industrial training officers’ job aspirants, whose applications have been rejected on any ground have an option to register an appeal with the commission.
“They will be allowed to take the examination if the reason for rejecting the application is not bonafide,” he said. Sinha, former Jharkhand DGP, said our general rule is to allow a candidate.
“The Commission has hired a company to hold the examination and has been given a list of the criteria to assess a job aspirant’s candidature. If it is absolutely beyond the rules, then there is no option but to reject one’s application,” he pointed out.
“But every possible effort is made to allow a candidate to take the examination. Only those candidates are not allowed whose applications can’t be accepted under any circumstances,” Sinha maintained.
Notably, the JSSC had invited applications to recruit 930 Industrial Training officers in various Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). The last date for filing the applications online was August 19 2023.
The JSSC informed as many as 1023 candidates on November 17 that their applications filed online were rejected.
According to the JSSC notification, 766 applications were rejected on the grounds that the candidates had completed only first step of the registration process.
207 applications were rejected on the grounds of not uploading their photos and signatures. And 50 applications were rejected after the JSSC found that a candidate had filed more than one application with a similar name, father’s name and date of birth.
To be eligible for the JSSC ITI Training Officer Recruitment 2023, candidates must hold a Degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or B. Voc (Bachelor of Vocation) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
