Jamshedpur, Nov 21: A middle-aged woman was killed as the Scooty she was riding pillion was hit by a four-wheeler on Tata-Kandra Road under the Adityapur Thana area on Tuesday.
The man who was riding the two-wheeler was seriously injured and has been admitted to Tata Main Hospital.
Significantly, though the mishap took place on a crowded road two hours ago, the police are yet to identify the vehicle that caused the fatal accident.

The couple met the mishap while riding through the Tata-Kandra road from their house in Adityapur towards Jamshedpur.
The man who was admitted to the hospital has been identified as Sharan Tirkey whereas his deceased wife’s name is yet to be ascertained.
OC, Adityapur Thana, Rajan Kumar said that there were three vehicles, including a van that were negotiating a congested zone where the mishap took place.
“Of the three vehicles, one was belonging to Army personnel. But it is not clear which of these vehicles caused the mishap. We are determining the killer vehicle by taking CCTV footage of the mishap scene, ” said the OC while talking to The Jharkhand Story.
