THE JHARKHAND STORY NETWORK

Ranchi, Sept 25: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said that in recent times, some elements are talking about demographic change within the state but the truth is that no picture of demographic change has been seen in any area of our state and neither is any factual data related to demographic change available.

“All the people of Jharkhand live with mutual love, harmony and goodwill and fight for their rights,” he said.

Addressing the “Aapki Yojana-Aapki Sarkar-Aapke Dwar” programme organized at Bhognadih in Sahebganj, through video conferencing, Soren said his government does not work based on religion, community, or caste.

He said that the government has always tried to empower the tribal-indigenous people here socially, educationally and economically.

“The government passed the Sarna Dharma Code Bill from the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly and sent it to the Centre, but unfortunately the central government did not take any concrete steps on this important bill of ours,” he said.

The chief minister said that some other elements are trying to break our unity by spreading rumours on religious issues within the state, we all need to avoid these elements. “Jharkhand has been the land of heroes. We will not take any wrong steps by getting misled by anyone,” he maintained.

Sarvajan Pension Scheme

The chief minister said that Jharkhand is the first state in the country to implement the Sarvajan Pension Scheme. “At present, not a single eligible person is deprived of a pension scheme under social security,” he added.

Women empowerment

Soren said that the government has resolved to empower half the population of the state by connecting them with various schemes.

“In this series, Jharkhand “Mukhyamantri Mainiya Samman Yojana” has been started. Under this scheme, about 50 lakh sisters and mothers of the state have been added, who are being given Rs 12,000 in a year,” he added.

Process of appointments continues

The chief minister said that the government has also been continuously making efforts in the direction of providing employment and jobs. “The state government has done the work of appointing one and a half to two lakh people in the private sector with its efforts, while thousands of government appointments have also been made in different phases,” he added.

The chief minister said that the process of about 40 to 50 thousand appointments is going on.
