Ranchi, Nov 1: Ranchi is set to host the Yonex Sunrise Jharkhand Badminton Championship cum selection trials for senior men and women, alongside the 2nd Ranchi District Major Ranking Badminton Championship for boys and girls, from November 15 to 17.
Giving this information, N.K. Dey, Secretary of the Ranchi District Badminton Association (RDBA), also said that the event will include competitions for veterans across all age groups, from 35 years to 75 years.

“All matches will be played at Thakur Vishwanath Shadeo Indoor Stadium, Khel Gaon, Ranchi. Over 400 players are likely to participate in this three-day tournament. Based on performance in the tournaments, players of Jharkhand teams would be selected for nationals,” said Dey.
NK Dey further said that the junior categories will feature singles events for boys and girls in under-9, under-11, under-13, under-15, under-17, and under-19 age groups.
Additionally, doubles events for boys and girls will take place in under-13, under-15, under-17, and under-19 categories, while mixed doubles will be held for under-15, under-17, and under-19 age groups.
