Canberra, Nov 6: External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Wednesday to discuss enhancing the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership.

Jaishankar who is currently on an official visit to Australia from November 3 to 7 also conveyed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s greetings to Albanese during the meeting.

“Delighted to call on PM Anthony Albanese in Canberra today. Conveyed warm greetings of PM @narendramodi. Value his guidance for deepening India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership,” Jaishankar posted on X.

Jaishankar earlier met with Peter Dutton, the leader of Australia’s Liberal Party and shared perspectives on global issues.

In Canberra, he also met New Zealand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Winston Peters and discussed education, agriculture, technology and people-to-people ties and exchanged views on Indo-Pacific and global issues.

Jaishankar additionally met with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
