Dhanbad, Nov 17: While only two days have been left for campaigning in the second phase of elections, BJP Jharkhand elections in-charge and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has rushed senior leader Kamlesh Singh to Dhanbad to sweep all six seats.
Kamlesh Singh, along with former health minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi, reached Dhanbad from Ranchi and began mobilising the party leaders and workers to accelerate the election campaign.
The party sources said that Shivraj Singh Chouhan has assigned Kamlesh Singh the responsibility of the Dhanbad Sadar and Jharia seats.

In the 2019 elections, the BJP won four out of six seats in the Dhanbad district. The party lost the Tundi and Jharia seats.
Kamlesh Singh after making a hectic campaign in the last 24 hours, claimed that the INDI Alliance is seen nowhere in the coal belt and the NDA will sweep all six seats of Dhanbad. “On ground level assessment I have found Raj Sinha (sitting MLA) is in a strong position in Dhanbad Sadar while Jharia candidate Ragni Singh is doing hard labour for victory with a massive margin,” said Kamlesh Singh, two-term MLA from Hussainabad.
Singh, who switched over to the BJP ahead of the elections, said that the NDA is fighting the election on the development model of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Supply of pure drinking water in all villages of the State and amount of Gogo Didi Yojna would be given in account every month with formation of government in the state,” he said.
Hemant Govt holds up Jharia fire rehabilitation
Kamlesh Singh said that rehabilitation of Jharia fire-affected residents is a serious matter. “Due to the non-cooperation of the Hemant Soren government, the shifting process is held up. However, if the BJP is voted to power, the state government would extend full cooperation to the JRDA to settle people at a safe place on a priority basis,” he added.
“If needed, affected people would be given house under the PM Awas Yojna,” he said.
Kamlesh Singh said that the administration in Jharkhand is completely defunct. “If BJP is voted to power under the guidance of Home Minister Amit Shah, a model administration would be introduced,” he added.
