Jharkhand Polls: Counting personnel to undergo 3-day training in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Nov 18: The East Singhbhum district administration following a directive from District Election Officer Ananya Mittal would conduct three-day training for personnel who would be engaged in the counting of votes scheduled on November 23, Saturday.

The training will be held at the Michael John Auditorium from November 19 to November 21.

Voting for the first phase of the state assembly polls has been completed and EVMs have been sealed at the strong room at the Jamshedpur Co-Operative College.

Training for postal ballot counting staff (counting assistant and counting supervisor) and RO table staff will be held on November 19 from 10 am to 1 pm.

On November 19 itself, training of EVM counting staff (counting assistant and counting supervisor) and RO table staff will be held from 2 to 5 pm.

Training will be given to the resilient team on 20 November 2024 from 10 am to 1 pm.

Training of micro observers will be held on November 20 between 2 pm to 4 pm.

Officials at the district election cell said that the counting of votes would start at 7 am on November 23 and is expected to continue till late afternoon.

Proper security arrangements would be made in the strong room to prevent any untoward incident during the counting of votes.
