Ranchi, Nov 21: BJP state spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo hit back at the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) following their press conference, stating that until the evening of November 23, when election results are declared, the JMM can continue living in a dream world.

He remarked that the JMM may make any claims or boast as much as they like, but they are already preparing to blame their defeat on the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) once the results are out.

BJP slams JMM’s ‘documented claims’

Pratul questioned the JMM’s move to release a document predicting the number of seats they would win and how many their rivals would lose.

He called it unprecedented and laughable, pointing out that even in this document, the seats where the JMM claims tough contests are predominantly Congress strongholds, indicating a lack of trust in their own alliance.

Accusations against Hemant Govt

Pratul accused the Hemant Soren-led government of being the most corrupt administration in Jharkhand’s history, alleging that the past five years have been marked by rampant corruption, loot, and false promises.

He said that corruption had become institutionalized under this government and that the people of the state are fed up. According to him, the public is ready to oust this government on November 23.

Confidence in NDA’s victory

He dismissed the JMM’s claims of victory on paper, emphasizing that the reality on the ground shows that the people have rejected the alliance entirely. He predicted that even in the Kolhan and Santhal Pargana divisions, considered JMM strongholds, the party would suffer a crushing defeat.

Pratul also asserted that the BJP is poised to win several seats where it has never won since independence. He highlighted the strong wave of support for the BJP across the state and the people’s resolve to overthrow the ruling coalition, which he said would culminate in a decisive mandate on November 23, with the NDA securing a two-thirds majority.

He concluded by saying that the JMM-led alliance would shrink to its lowest-ever seat tally in history.
