New Delhi, Dec 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Disanayaka held detailed talks on Monday, focusing on enhancing collaboration between India and Sri Lanka in areas such as defence, trade, and investment.
The Sri Lankan President arrived in Delhi on Sunday, marking his first foreign visit since taking office in September.
Prior to the discussions, Disanayaka was given a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

On Sunday, the Sri Lankan president conducted separate discussions with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
He is also scheduled to meet President Droupadi Murmu.
Disanayaka is slated to attend a business event in Delhi to strengthen investment and commercial relations between India and Sri Lanka. He will also visit Bodh Gaya.
