Five terrorists killed, two soldiers injured in encounter in J&K’s Kulgam

Kulgam, Dec 19: Security forces have neutralized five terrorists, while two soldiers have been injured in an ongoing encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

According to reports, information was received about the presence of a group of terrorists in Kader area of the Kulgam district.

Based on this input, the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a cordon and search operation. During this time, the terrorists opened fire, prompting the forces to retaliate with gunfire.

Indian Army’s Chinar Corps in a post on X said, “Five terrorists have been neutralised by the security forces in the ongoing Operation in Kader, Kulgam. During the firefight two soldiers have suffered injuries and have been evacuated for medical care. Operation is in progress.”
