Dhanbad, March 3: The first Model Anganwadi Kendra in Dhanbad, established at HE School Vistipara, has become a center of attraction for children and their guardians, offering enhanced facilities for early childhood education and care.
Inaugurating the center, Dhanbad Deputy Commissioner (DC) Madhvi Mishra highlighted that the facility has been developed under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Nippon Life India Asset Management Limited.
She emphasized that the Model Anganwadi Kendra features state-of-the-art infrastructure to support children’s education, recreational activities, and nutritional needs.

“In the Model Anganwadi Kendra, superb infrastructure has been developed for the education system of kids, their playing arrangement and nutritious diet”, said the Deputy Commissioner.
The DC further noted that this is the first Anganwadi center in the district to operate entirely on solar power, setting an example for future development. She expressed optimism about replicating this model across other Anganwadi centers in the district to benefit children.
The initiative has already seen a significant rise in enrollment, with many guardians showing keen interest in the upgraded facility.
During her visit, Madhvi Mishra interacted with the children, distributing chocolates and toys, making the occasion more special for them.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Anita Kujur, DPRO Sunil Kumar Singh, Nippon Life India Asset Management Limited officials Arpita Chatterjee and Sumit Kumar, along with Anganwadi workers Sweta Devi, Liechi Devi, Gudia Paswan, and several others.
