Indian Railways has announced the ‘Rail Yatra Vrittant Puraskar Scheme 2025’, inviting passengers from all walks of life to share their most cherished train travel memories. Whether it’s a heartwarming encounter, a mesmerising view from your window seat, or a journey that shifted your perspective – if it happened on the rails, it’s a story worth telling.

To celebrate the magic of rail travel, the Railway Board is offering exciting cash prizes for the best original travelogues written in Hindi:

  • 🥇 First Prize: ₹10,000
  • 🥈 Second Prize: ₹8,000
  • 🥉 Third Prize: ₹6,000
  • 🏅 Five Encouragement Prizes: ₹4,000 each

📝 Submission Guidelines:

  • Word count must be between 3,000 and 3,500 words
  • Stories should be typed, double-spaced, with page numbers and a clearly stated word count
  • Include a separate sheet with your full name, designation, age, address, mother tongue, mobile number, and email ID

🔒 Important Declarations:

  • Government employees must confirm no pending disciplinary cases
  • Other participants must state they have no ongoing criminal cases
  • All entries must be original, unpublished, and not submitted for any other competition
