New Delhi, May 10: As Pakistan continues to carry out drone attacks along the Indian border, facing strong retaliation from Indian forces, it now finds itself under growing pressure on a second front. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has significantly escalated its operations in Pakistan’s restive Balochistan province, launching multiple attacks on military and police targets.
According to a statement issued by BLA spokesperson Ziyand Baloch, the group has carried out assaults at 39 different locations across Balochistan in recent days.

The BLA claims its offensive is ongoing and has specifically targeted major highways, army convoys, military informants, and weapon stockpiles. The group also claims it has taken control of arms and equipment from Pakistani security forces.
BLA’s recent statement claimed responsibility for targeting Pakistani police outposts, security checkpoints, and military convoys, describing the attacks as a response to the alleged oppression of the Baloch people.
Multiple Attacks Reported Over Three Days
Between May 7 and 9, the BLA reportedly launched several deadly attacks, inflicting heavy casualties on Pakistani forces. On May 7, the group carried out a remote-controlled IED attack on a military convoy in the Mach-Kachhi district of Bolan, claiming that 12 Pakistani soldiers were killed.

On May 8, the BLA said it conducted six separate attacks on military installations and security posts in Quetta, resulting in multiple casualties. The group maintains that its campaign will continue until justice is served for the Baloch community.
Pakistan has yet to officially confirm the scale of these attacks or the extent of the damage. However, the intensifying insurgency in Balochistan could complicate Pakistan’s military strategy, especially amid ongoing tensions with India.
