Jalandhar, May 13: In the wake of Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday visited the strategically significant Adampur Air Base in Jalandhar, where he met with Indian Air Force personnel and praised their bravery and commitment.
The base played a crucial role in the recent cross-border strikes that targeted terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir.

PM Modi, after being briefed by Air Force officials at Adampur, shared his experience on X, “Earlier this morning, I went to AFS Adampur and met our brave air warriors and soldiers. It was a very special experience to be with those who epitomise courage, determination and fearlessness. India is eternally grateful to our armed forces for everything they do for our nation.”

Launched on May 7, Operation Sindoor was a direct response to the brutal April 22 attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 tourists lost their lives.
The operation resulted in the elimination of over 100 terrorists and the destruction of 11 Pakistani air bases, severely impacting the enemy’s military capabilities.
