Ranchi, June 19: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Jharkhand has arrested prominent Chhattisgarh-based businessman Siddharth Singhania.

According to confirmed reports, the ACB team apprehended Singhania in Chhattisgarh and is preparing to bring him to Ranchi for court appearance after obtaining a transit remand.

The arrest follows the issuance of a warrant against Singhania by the ACB a few days ago. Earlier, the agency had secured a warrant against Vinay Kumar Singh, the owner of Nexgen and a close associate of suspended IAS officer Vinay Kumar Chaubey.

The ACB’s crackdown in the liquor scam case has intensified in recent weeks. On Tuesday, the ACB arrested former Excise Commissioner Amit Prakash and questioned him at its headquarters in Ranchi.

So far, the ACB has arrested several high-profile individuals in connection with the case, including Vinay Kumar Chaubey, Gajendra Singh, Sudhir Kumar, Sudhir Kumar Das, Neeraj Kumar Singh, Vinay Kumar Singh, and Amit Prakash. The investigation continues to expose deeper links in the alleged corruption network.
