Thiruvananthapuram, July 12: Union Home Minister Amit Shah began his Kerala visit on Saturday by inaugurating the BJP’s new state committee office, Mararji Bhavan, in Thiruvananthapuram, setting the stage for the party’s campaign ahead of the upcoming local body polls and the 2026 Assembly elections.

Shah hoisted the party flag, lit a traditional lamp, and cut the ceremonial ribbon to formally open the new premises. He also planted a sapling outside the building and paid floral tributes to a bronze half-bust of former BJP state president K G Marar, installed in the building’s central hall.
