Patna, July 30: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced a significant hike in incentives for grassroots health workers in Bihar.
ASHA workers will now receive ₹3,000 per month, a threefold increase from the previous ₹1,000.
Similarly, the incentive for ‘Mamta’ workers has been doubled to ₹600 per delivery from ₹300.

Highlighting the government’s efforts to strengthen healthcare since 2005, Kumar acknowledged the vital role played by ASHA and Mamta workers in improving rural health services.
Sharing the update on X, he said these steps reaffirm the commitment to better healthcare access across the state.
