Jamshedpur, Oct 6: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a thunderstorm and lightning alert for several parts of Jharkhand over the next two days, accompanied by gusty winds reaching speeds of 30–40 Kmph.
According to the forecast, on October 6, thunderstorms and lightning with gusty winds are likely to occur at isolated places across the state, except the northern region.
On October 7, similar weather conditions are expected, excluding the north-eastern part of Jharkhand.

Meanwhile, the low-pressure area over north Bihar and its neighbourhood has become less marked, but the associated cyclonic circulation persists over northeast Bihar and adjoining areas, extending up to 4.5 Km above mean sea level.
Additionally, a trough from north Bihar to north Odisha across Jharkhand at around 1.5 Km above mean sea level continues to influence weather patterns in the region.
The monsoon activity over Jharkhand has been reported as normal, indicating continued seasonal rainfall and atmospheric conditions typical for this time of the year.
Monsoon is going to stay over Jharkhand for the next few days, said a weatherman, adding that the recent depression has prolonged monsoon’s stay over the state.
