Dhanbad, Oct 7: Sapna Kumari, the Mukhiya of Palihari Gurdih panchayat in Bokaro district, who had been missing since October 2, was found safe in Ranchi after reportedly leaving home due to a family dispute, police said.
Bermo SDPO B.N. Singh confirmed that as per her statement recorded in a local court, Sapna Kumari said she left her home following a family disagreement and went to stay at her female friend’s house in Ranchi to seek mental peace.

She was traced and recovered by a joint team of Bermo and Ranchi police from a residence on Ratu Road, Ranchi.

The 22-year-old Mukhiya, who lives about 55 km from the district headquarters, was reported missing by her husband on the evening of October 2.
She had reportedly left behind her mobile phone and her one-and-a-half-year-old child at home before leaving.
Bokaro Superintendent of Police Harvinder Singh had formed a special team to locate her. Acting on inputs, the police recovered her from Ranchi’s Ratu Road in the early hours of Sunday, October 5.
