Prof. Lee highlighted the growing importance of sustainable cooling, energy efficiency, and waste heat recovery in modern industrial systems. He emphasized the challenges of thermal management in high-performance setups like data centers in tropical climates, where hot and humid conditions restrict free cooling.

He advocated for a climate-aware design approach and stressed the need for interdisciplinary collaboration and industry partnerships to develop climate-resilient technologies.

Emphasis on Academic Environment and Talent Utilization

Prof. Sarit Kumar Das underlined the importance of fostering an enabling academic environment in Indian institutions. While acknowledging India’s abundant talent, he stressed the need to channel this potential effectively for impactful outcomes.

IIT (ISM) Director Prof. Sukumar Mishra reflected on India’s rich legacy of science and technology rooted in ancient scriptures. He distinguished between Gyan (knowledge), Vigyan (scientific analysis of knowledge), and Pradyogiki Vigyan (technology), emphasizing the application of scientific knowledge for economic growth and national development.
