Ranchi shuttlers dominate opening day of Jharkhand Junior Badminton Championship

 

Dhanbad, Nov 1: Ranchi shuttlers Samvith Ramesh, Aniket Singh, and Arul Kumar made a strong start, cruising to comfortable victories in both the under-15 and under-17 boys’ categories of the Yonex Sunrise Jharkhand State Junior Badminton Championship, which began at the Indoor Stadium here on Friday evening.

Promising talent Samvith Ramesh showcased his impressive game, outclassing Avik Kathuria of Dhanbad in the boys’ under-15 event. Continuing his fine form, he went on to secure an effortless win over Somnath Dutta of Dumka in the under-17 category.

Ranchi’s Aniket Singh also advanced smoothly, defeating Hrishad Choudhary of Dhanbad in the under-15 match and Aditya Kumar of Jamshedpur in the under-17 singles.
