New Delhi, Dec 19: In relation to a bribery case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested a postal assistant who works in the Palamu district of Jharkhand in the office of the superintendent of the Post Office.
Sanjay Kumar, a postal assistant at the Dalatonganj Post Office Superintendent’s office in Palamu, has been identified as the arrested offender.
Kumar is facing a case filed by the CBI, where the complainant asserts that the accused solicited a bribe for expediting the attestation form and issuing a joining letter for the role of Branch Post Master in the Gramin Dak Seva.
Officials reported that the CBI apprehended the accused in the act of demanding and receiving a bribe of Rs 15,000 from the complainant red-handed.
The accused will be presented in the court of the Special Judge handling CBI cases in Ranchi.
