New Delhi, Nov 10: The Rouse Avenue Court will pronounce its order on December 4 regarding the framing of charges in the high-profile “land-for-jobs” corruption case involving former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family members.
Special Judge Vishal Gogne on Monday postponed the decision and scheduled the next hearing for December 4. Earlier, on September 11, the court had reserved its order after completing arguments from both sides.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed charge sheets against Lalu Prasad Yadav, former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, their children Tejashwi Yadav, Misa Bharti, Tej Pratap Yadav, Hema Yadav, and several others.
According to the CBI, jobs in the Indian Railways were allegedly granted in exchange for parcels of land, a scheme said to have taken place when Lalu Prasad Yadav was serving as Railway Minister.
Lalu acquired land in exchange for jobs during his tenure as Railway Minister
The CBI alleges that during Lalu Yadav’s tenure as Railway Minister from 2004 to 2009, a land-for-jobs scam took place. During this period, Lalu Yadav allegedly secretly appointed 12 individuals from Patna to Group D positions in exchange for land.

The CBI claims that plots were registered in the names of Lalu Yadav’s wife, Rabri Devi, and his daughters Misa Bharti and Hema Yadav, and that these lands were purchased at nominal prices paid in cash.
Furthermore, the positions in the Railways were filled without any advertisement or notification to the Central Railway. The jobs were given within three days of receiving the applications.
