Jamshedpur, Nov 19: Dry and crisp weather condition is expected to prevail over Jharkhand in the next few days, said an IMD forecast issued today.

Meanwhile, Jharkhand continued to remain under dry and cool conditions on Tuesday, with no significant synoptic system affecting the state, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ranchi.

North-easterly to easterly winds prevailed in the lower troposphere, keeping the weather stable and largely cloud-free.

Cold wave conditions were reported at isolated pockets in the western and central parts of Jharkhand, as minimum temperatures dipped noticeably across several stations.

As per the realised weather report issued by the Meteorological Centre at Birsa Munda Airport, Ranchi, yesterday recorded a maximum temperature of 26.4°C, slightly below normal, while the minimum settled at 12.4°C.

Jamshedpur registered a maximum of 28.0°C and a minimum of 13.0°C, both showing marginal variations from normal.

Dry weather prevailed statewide, with no rainfall recorded at any observatory.

Among the Automated Weather Stations (AWS), Godda recorded the highest maximum temperature at 29.5°C, while Gumla AWS logged the lowest minimum temperature at 10.5°C.

Visibility remained satisfactory, with MC Ranchi reporting 1200 meters.

The IMD has indicated that similar dry weather conditions are likely to persist due to the steady easterly–northeasterly flow, though night temperatures may continue to dip in several parts of the state.
