Ranchi/Hyderabad, Nov 21: Three Cluster-Level Federations (CLFs) from Jharkhand earned national and regional recognition at the SHG Federation Awards 2025, organised by the Women’s Advancement Society (APMAS) in Hyderabad on November 21. The awards highlighted the strong leadership and organisational excellence demonstrated by rural women from the state.

Chatra District’s Dhankeri and Banhe CLFs Claim National Awards

Two CLFs from Chatra district secured top positions at the national level, bringing significant pride to Jharkhand.

Dhankeri CLF – National Second Prize

Dhankeri Aajeevika Mahila Cluster Swayam Sambhal Sahakari Samiti Limited, Itkhori—formed on December 4, 2018—received the second prize nationally. With around 3,100 women across 246 SHGs in three panchayats, Dhankeri CLF was recognised for:

Integrated annual planning

Monthly financial reviews

Budget-variance analysis

Digital monitoring (Online DCB, LokOS)

100% loan disbursement and excellent repayment standards

Banhe CLF – National Third Prize

Banhe Aajeevika Mahila Swalambhi Sankul Sangh earned third place at the national level. The CLF significantly improved its ranking through:

Integrated annual action plans

Regular financial reviews

Reduced idle cash levels

Strong fund-flow management

Digital transparency

100% repayment and zero-default portfolio

Baguria CLF Wins Second Prize in the Eastern Region

Baguria Aajeevika Mahila Sankul Sangathan Swavalambhi Sahakari Samiti Limited, from Ghatshila, East Singhbhum—formed on July 6, 2018—was awarded the second prize in the Eastern Region. The CLF addressed key challenges faced by farmers, including a lack of capital and limited access to modern technology, by:

Providing low-interest CIF loans

Training farmers through 22 Aajeevika Krishak Mitras (AKMs) and two senior AKMs

Supplying seeds, fertilisers, and equipment under government schemes

The CLF played a pivotal role in reconnecting families with agriculture. Today, more than 2,500 farmers in the region have become lakhpati farmers through vegetable cultivation, establishing the CLF as a strong model of women-led, agriculture-based livelihoods.

JSLPS CEO Praises Women’s Leadership and Government Support
