Mumbai, Nov 24: Veteran Bollywood icon and legendary actor Dharmendra, fondly remembered as the ‘He-Man’ of Indian cinema, passed away at the age of 89 at his Mumbai residence on Monday, November 24. His death comes less than a month before he would have turned 90 on December 8.
Dharmendra had been battling health complications and was hospitalised at Breach Candy Hospital earlier this month due to respiratory difficulties. He returned home after treatment but continued to remain unwell.

With a career spanning more than 60 years, Dharmendra leaves behind a towering cinematic legacy marked by iconic films, unforgettable performances, and a loyal fan base across generations. His final film, Ikkis, featuring Agastya Nanda, is slated for release on December 25.

He is survived by his wives, Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini, and his six children — actors Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Esha Deol, Ahana Deol, and daughters Ajeeta and Vijeta.
