THE JHARKHAND STORY DESK

New Delhi, Dec 5: The ongoing IndiGo flight crisis worsened on Friday as all flights scheduled to depart from Delhi Airport were cancelled until midnight (12 am), causing significant inconvenience to passengers.

In response, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, launched a sharp attack on the Modi government via a post on X. He blamed the crisis on a monopoly model in the aviation sector, holding it responsible for the recent operational troubles faced by IndiGo Airlines.

Gandhi demanded fair competition in India’s aviation market, arguing that the country is paying the price for IndiGo’s failures, which he called a direct result of the government’s monopoly model.

He added that ordinary Indian citizens are suffering delays, cancellations, and helplessness while traveling, emphasizing that India deserves fair competition in all sectors, not a “match-fixing monopoly.”

Meanwhile, IndiGo management clarified that its teams are working continuously, in coordination with the Ministry of Civil Aviation, DGCA, BCAS, AAI, and various airport operators, to normalize operations as quickly as possible.

IndiGo fiasco is the cost of this Govt’s monopoly model.

Once again, it’s ordinary Indians who pay the price – in delays, cancellations and helplessness.

India deserves fair competition in every sector, not match-fixing monopolies. https://t.co/sRoigepFgv
