New Delhi, Dec 6: SpiceJet has stepped in to ease the travel crunch caused by massive delays and cancellations across IndiGo’s network, announcing a broad expansion of services for December 6 across several domestic and international routes.
The airline said it will operate more than a hundred additional flights over the next few days to support passengers hit by disruptions triggered by the enforcement of the DGCA’s revised Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) norms.
As part of this expansion, the carrier has boosted connectivity linking key regions including the National Capital Region, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Karnataka, Kerala, Goa, Bihar, Gujarat and the United Arab Emirates.

Popular routes such as Delhi, Jaipur, Chennai, Dubai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Ayodhya, Goa, Patna, Pune, Udaipur, Varanasi, and Ahmedabad are among those receiving enhanced frequencies.
The airline said several states—ranging from Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan to West Bengal and Bihar—will see multiple additional services to help absorb the sudden surge in passenger demand. SpiceJet also highlighted increased lift to international destinations, with Dubai receiving two extra connections.
The carrier shared the full list of enhanced services on X, noting that the move is designed to offer immediate relief to thousands of travellers struggling with the cascading effect of IndiGo’s operational slowdown.

Chairman and Managing Director Ajay Singh on Friday said the situation is “extremely unfortunate” and has severely inconvenienced travellers nationwide, adding that SpiceJet is ramping up operations to fill critical gaps across major sectors.
