New Delhi, Dec 20: Vinay Singh, the prime accused in a case related to the illegal purchase and sale of forest land and unlawful mutation during IAS Vinay Chaubey’s tenure as Deputy Commissioner of Hazaribag, has been granted bail by the Supreme Court.

The apex court, while hearing Vinay Singh’s bail plea, allowed his release on bail. A bench comprising Justice Aravind Kumar and Justice N.V. Anjaria granted Vinay Singh interim bail for the time being.
Automobile businessman Vinay Singh and his wife Snigdha Singh are named accused in ACB case number 11/2025.

According to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), the land mentioned in the FIR is registered in the names of Vinay Singh and his wife Snigdha Singh. The land is located under Thana No. 252 of Sadar Circle in Hazaribag district.
The property includes land under Khata No. 95 with Plot Nos. 1055, 1060 and 848, having a total area of 28 decimals, and land under Khata No. 73 with Plot No. 812, measuring 72 decimals. The land is situated in Halka No. 11 of Babhanve Mauja under the Sadar Circle.
Vinay Singh and his wife Snigdha Singh are in possession of the said land, where a Nexgen automobile showroom is currently being operated.
