Many alumni from earlier batches are now gainfully employed in schools, private companies and government offices, while several have ventured into entrepreneurship, reflecting the programme’s real impact on livelihoods.

Welcoming the gathering, centre convenor Fr. Donal D’Silva, highlighted the journey of Xavier Community College (XCC), which has trained 198 students so far.

He underlined that the initiative goes beyond certification, focusing on dignity, confidence and pathways to a better life.

XLRI Director Fr. Sebastian George, SJ, congratulated the graduates and noted that employability today is driven by skills as much as degrees, urging students to keep upgrading themselves. Jesuit Provincial Fr. Jerry Cutinha reminded participants that integrity must remain central to their pursuit of excellence.

Programme co-ordinator Fr. Parvin Jose, shared that XLRI fully sponsored the training, which also strengthened students’ communication skills, confidence and workplace readiness, opening opportunities in government services, education, entrepreneurship and the construction sector.
