New Delhi, Dec. 27: Jharkhand’s efforts toward the holistic development of children aged 0–3 years received national attention during the Fifth National Conference of Chief Secretaries in New Delhi, where the theme “Human Capital for a Developed India” guided discussions on strengthening early foundations of growth.

Focus on Human Capital for a Developed India

The three-day conference, being held from December 26 to 28, brought together senior officials from across the country to deliberate on building strong human resources through early childhood education, schooling, skills, higher education, and sports.

Jharkhand Showcases 0–3 Years Development Model

Jharkhand presented its initiatives for early childhood care, including the Mother-Child Protection Flipbook, which provides parents and caregivers with simple and practical guidance on nutrition, health, and early learning.

Anganwadi and ASHA workers are ensuring health, nutrition, and early childhood development services through regular home visits, strengthening outreach at the grassroots level.

Teacher Training Aligned With NEP 2020

The state also highlighted its Teacher Professional Development Program under the National Education Policy 2020, based on six-monthly Teacher Needs Assessments and targeted training modules.
