The MoU focuses on jointly advancing research on biomass-based carbon materials, biochar, syngas, gasification-based fuel systems, and waste-to-energy technologies. These research areas are particularly relevant to metallurgical, thermal, and other industrial energy sectors.

Lab-to-Pilot Scale Technology Development

Under the collaboration, IIT ISM Dhanbad and Climitra Carbon will work together on laboratory-to-pilot-scale research, technology development, and process optimisation. The objective is to convert biomass and waste resources into high-value carbon materials and clean energy products.

Joint Research and Industrial Applications

Key areas of cooperation include biomass utilisation, biochar development, gasification pathways, and waste-to-energy conversion systems. The partnership aims to support scalable, low-emission alternatives for industrial applications.

The MoU also envisages joint technology development initiatives, techno-economic assessments, and research publications, helping translate scientific research into practical and implementable solutions for industry and society.
