Major Investments in Education and Healthcare

Premji highlighted the Azim Premji Foundation’s ongoing investments in Jharkhand, calling them a reflection of long-term confidence in the state. The Foundation is developing a major integrated campus in the Itki region of Ranchi, which includes a university, a medical college, a 1,300-bed hospital, and a school.

These projects represent a significant investment in strengthening the state’s education and healthcare infrastructure.

Positive Engagement with State Government

Premji acknowledged the consistent support extended by the Jharkhand government, stating that the Foundation experienced a constructive and collaborative approach from the state administration throughout the engagement process.

Describing the overall experience as positive, he invited investors from India and abroad to explore opportunities in Jharkhand.

Boost to Human Development Ecosystem

Officials said the integrated education and healthcare campus being developed by the Azim Premji Foundation in Itki is among the most significant social infrastructure initiatives underway in Jharkhand and is expected to play a key role in strengthening the state’s long-term human development ecosystem.
