Ranchi, January 24: District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner of Pakur, Manish Kumar, will be honoured with the Best Election District Award by the President of India on the occasion of National Voters’ Day 2026, officials said on Saturday.

The award will be presented at a national-level function, recognising Pakur district’s performance in election management, voter awareness, and electoral processes.
State-Level National Voters’ Day Event in Ranchi
A state-level programme to mark National Voters’ Day 2026 will be organised on January 25, 2026, from 12:00 PM onwards at the Aryabhatta Auditorium, Ranchi University Campus, Ranchi.

The chief guest of the programme will be Jharkhand State Election Commissioner Alka Tiwari. Senior officials from the election department and district administrations across Jharkhand are expected to attend.

Several officers will be honoured at the state-level function for their contribution to strengthening the electoral system and voter participation. The list includes:
