Weather System and Wind Pattern
According to meteorological data, the Western Disturbance that was present as a cyclonic circulation over Jammu and nearby areas between 3.1 km and 4.5 km above mean sea level, along with an associated synoptic trough in the middle and upper troposphere westerlies, has moved away in an east-northeastward direction.
At present, north-westerly to westerly winds are prevailing over Jharkhand. These wind patterns are supporting the continuation of mostly dry weather conditions, with the possibility of light rain restricted to isolated areas in early February.
