Ranchi, February 1: Delhi Public School (DPS), Ranchi, conducted an Aptitude Test on Sunday for students seeking admission to Class XI for the academic session 2026–27. The test was held on the school campus and recorded over 95 per cent attendance among registered candidates. A few students could not appear due to medical reasons.
The aptitude test assessed students’ academic readiness for senior secondary education and was conducted as part of a fair and transparent admission process.
Parents’ Orientation Programme
A Parents’ Orientation Programme was held simultaneously at the Vivekananda Auditorium, with participation from a large number of parents.

Parents were briefed on the school’s academic framework, curriculum structure, assessment system, discipline policies, co-curricular activities, and student support systems, providing an overview of the school’s functioning.
Principal’s Address
Principal Jaya Chauhan said that education at DPS Ranchi focuses not only on academics but also on character development, critical thinking, ethical values, and life skills. She described Class XI as an important stage in a student’s academic journey and said that the school’s faculty, academic planning, and co-curricular environment support balanced development. She also highlighted the role of parent–school cooperation.

School Achievements Highlighted
The orientation included a presentation on DPS Ranchi’s performance in Board Examinations and achievements in international, national, state, and district-level competitions in academics, sports, cultural, and co-curricular areas.
Career Guidance Sessions
Career guidance sessions were conducted for students and parents.
- Santosh Kumar spoke on CLAT and management careers.
- Vikas Kumar presented an overview of academic results.
- Saurabh Singhania discussed JEE examinations.
- Naveen Gupta explained NEET and medical career options.
- Shyam Suman spoke on the scope of Olympiads.
Interactive Session
The programme ended with a question-and-answer session covering academics, assessments, student welfare, discipline, career planning, and school policies. The responses addressed parents’ concerns and clarified procedures.
The Aptitude Test and orientation programme reflected the school’s structured admission process and academic approach.
